Artist's Statement

My girlfriend and I have a long-running dispute about the value of telling The Truth in relationships. She's a hard-line believer in The Truth no matter how painful, whereas I feel like the less I know the better off I am. The stuff I already know is just about all I can take--I can only assume that what I don't know yet would shatter me if I were to learn about it. She and I continue to go back and forth on this issue in a dynamic that endlessly challenges and educates us both. This cartoon pretty much represents my definitive policy staement on the matter.
