Due to the increased volume of fan mail, hate mail, stalkers,
and misguided offers of work he receives, as well as his increasingly
clearly defined personality quirks, Tim Kreider can no longer respond
directly to electronic mail. In the future, all fan/business e-mail
will be answered by his intern, Ms. Phelatia Czochula-Hautpanz,
at hautpanz@thepaincomics.com.
Hopeful groupies will be pre-screened by Ms. Hautpanz, and the approved
candidates forwarded to Mr. Kreider. Tim Kreider was born and educated in Baltimore. His weekly cartoon, The Pain--When Will It End? appears in the Baltimore City Paper and the New York Press. Two collections of his cartoons, The Pain--When Will It End? (2004) and Why Do They Kill Me? (2005) are available from Fantagraphics Books. He has written critical essays for Film Quarterly and The Comics Journal. His film essays have been frequently anthologized (Depth of Field: Stanley Kubrick, Film, and the Uses of History, University of Wisconsin Press; Contemporary Literary Criticism, Vol. 162, The Gale Group; and Multicultural Film: A Reader, Fall 2004, Pearson Custom Publishing). He has been stabbed in the throat in Greece, ridden the Ringling Brothers Circus train to Mexico City, and accompanied a friend to gender reassignment surgery in Neenah, Wisconsin. He lives in an undisclosed location on the Chesapeake Bay. He is currently at work on his long-awaited pornographic autobiography, Unfuckable. |
